Making the Arts a Priority
In 2022, the Yellow Line put giving at the top of its priority list. Our community art activities depend on long standing relationships with many fabulous community partners. Here is what we were able to accomplish over the past year!
The Yellow Line partnered with the Town of Leonardtown to host 12 First Friday art nights offering residents and visitors to Leonardtown, MD free or reduced cost family friendly art activities
We partnered with the St. Mary's Arts Council, St.Mary's Public Schools, and St. Mary's College of Maryland to offer free art workshops for over 120 elementary school children who each created twelve original art lessons.
The Yellow line joined with thegesso.com to host four free webinars on how to prepare a college application for creative visual art careers
We partnered with The Click Family and the Kennedy Krieger Institute by creating 40 individual art kits delivered to children during the holiday season. The Kennedy Krieger Institute is dedicated to improving the lives of children with a range of developmental, neurological and musculoskeletal disorders.
We sold Narwhal clings and stickers through our teamwork with Narwhal Magic Kindness to support Gender Diversity and Trans Rights.
